services@greycat.cn(Mountain View, CA - 2008-02-08) In order to perhaps play a small role in an American election year, I'm streaming "News, Views, Music and More", this time from my own server:

BACKSTORY
AMERICAN-FM was launched on September 11, 2004 as a Live365 internet radio station. In March of 2005 AMERICAN-FM became the second internet-only radio affiliate on the Pacifica Network. In August 2005 I dropped the Live365 stream in favor of podcasting since most of the shows I was relaying on Live365 were becoming available as podcasts. In Fall of 2005 I experimented with producing audioblogs and then turned to focusing on syndicating customized podcast channels by leveraging XSLT to generate playlists of specific shows grouped by interest. At this time there are five channels made available as both RSS and M3U feeds: media, news, music, dialogue, women. My intention is to further refine my code to better automate keeping these channels current and focus on producing podcasts and video podcasts that will be syndicated here on LJ as the AMERICAN-FM Radio Diary.
